GREEN UTILITY JACKET IN COTTON CANVAS WITH VELVET COLLAR

Misericordia takes a close interest in the use and history of clothing, in order to grasp its codes, interpret them and offer its own vision.
Our collections are designed to accompany you every day and for as long as possible . Guided by our passion, the craftsmanship of our workshop, the choice of beautiful materials, attention to detail and finishing touches.

The Manuel jacket is designed as a "utility worker" jacket, practical and useful thanks to its functional pockets.
Over time, work jackets left the workshops and entered the world of fashion. In the 1960s and 1970s, they were adopted by countercultural movements, who appreciated their raw and functional nature . Workwear then became a symbol of authenticity and rebellion against established dress codes.

Our designer Aurelyen paid particular attention to the jacket's lining, which is unique and striking with its two red stripes—a nod to and tribute to the artisans in our Lima workshop who meticulously craft the Misericordia garments you wear . The Peruvian flag is recognizable by its two vertical red stripes separated by a white stripe of the same width. The red symbolizes the blood shed by the liberation army against Spain in 1820, and the white, the peace and purity desired for the young Peruvian republic.
